Service Description
Ages 18+ $925. Enroll w/ a $250 Non refundable Deposit. We will then contact you about how you'd like to pay the remainder (ie: in full, payment plan, subsidy needed, etc) This course is modeled after our Survival Immersion Course. For Spring 2023 only, we are offering a 4-month version of the Survival Immersion! For 5 weekends, March-June, this course touches on a variety of survival and natural history topics, including survival shelters, friction fire, water purification, foraging and edible plants, wildlife tracking, carving, knots, cordage, food acquisition and primitive archery. The course will culminate in a 3-day survival trip, where participants will use all the knowledge and skills they've gained throughout the year. It is perfect for folks who want to learn more and get their hands dirty, but also have a busy schedule. There may also be some optional weeknight skill sessions available to you during these months and some opportunities for free workshops. Two weekends (Sat & Sun) will be 9-4 each day. 2 Weekends will be Friday AM- Sunday afternoon Overnights. One weekend will be a Saturday AM-Sunday PM Overnight. See the schedule below! Meeting 1: March 2 & 3 : 9am-4pm each Day -Survival Rules of Three -Friction fire and build your own fire kits -Carving/tool safety/knots -Cordage or natural materials -Wild cooking component Meeting 2: April 6-7 Overnight : 9am Saturday - 3pm Sunday -Shelter Overnight! -Water Purification -Survival tool making: crude stone tools Meeting 3: May 4 & 5 : 9am - 4pm each day -Hunting -Primitive archery/projectiles -Plant ID, edibles, first aid Meeting 4: May 31 9AM-June 1 5PM : Overnight -Survival Overnight Trip Meeting 5: June 7-9 (Fri-Sun) : Overnight trip to the Oregon Coast Friday will be a travel day, with folks meeting at Eel Creek Campground Friday PM. Saturday all day and Sunday AM will be an exploration of the Oregon Dunes ecosystem and all she has to offer as a final celebration as a group. Nighthawk doesn't guarantee refunds. They are not typical and fully depend on our ability to fill the spot. If we are able to fill your spot after your cancellation, a future class credit will be issued. If Nighthawk cancels a whole course, participants will be credited for a future course if rescheduling isn't possible. Partial course cancellations/adjustments/reschedules due to inclement weather, etc. are not typically credited.
