Service Description

Ages: 18+ (Ages 12+ must have guardian in attendance) Instructors: Tyler Doyle and Chelsea Ernst PLEASE REGISTER ALL PARTICIPANTS IN YOUR PARTY! The hike is free but we have a group number limit. We will enjoy a naturalist hike in the mountains west of Sisters. Here, we will learn key features that help identify some common plants in the area. We will learn some common wild edibles and learn and practice some historical uses of plants that commonly grow in higher mountain areas. We'll also talk about other finds along the way: any animal tracks and sign, birds, bird behavior, geological features, and more! Exact location and details of what to bring will be emailed to you in weeks before the hike. This trip will be a hike with a few miles and a couple thousand feet elevation gain! Please be prepared for some exercise. We will get to know each other and the land a little better by practicing skills together. Please feel free to email us with any questions!
