Firecraft and Fire Keeping

Service Description

Workshops are geared towards adults age 16+ Students age 13-15 may attend this workshop with a parent/guardian In this one-day workshop, you will get the chance to learn and practice friction fire using the bow drill method. Each participant will get to build and take home their own bow drill kit. In addition, you'll learn proper fire structure building and some basic carving. We will also learn the best natural materials to build a fire, fire transport, ferro rod, charcloth, and more! We will meet at a public park near Bend (exact location and details of what to bring will be emailed to you when you register). Here, we will get to know each other and the land a little better by practicing skills together. Please feel free to email us with any questions!

Cancellation Policy

Nighthawk doesn't guarantee refunds. They are not typical and fully depend on our ability to fill the spot. If we are able to fill your spot after your cancellation, a future class credit will be issued. If Nighthawk cancels a whole course, participants will be credited for a future course if rescheduling isn't possible. Partial course cancellations/adjustments/reschedules due to inclement weather, etc. are not typically credited.
