Service Description

Workshops are geared towards adults age 16+ Students age 12-15 may attend this workshop with a parent/guardian During this weekend workshop, we will make baskets out of pine needles. We will all make and take home a basket. It will be a day full of weaving together and connecting. In addition, we'll learn where one might find these plant materials, how to harvest them ethically and sustainably, and other ways these plants can be used in every day life. The goal is to weave together and have fun together at a local Bend area park. The bonus is that you'll all walk away with you own handmade baskets! Your teacher will be Chelsea Ernst, who has 10+ years experience in ethnobotany, weaving, ecological science, and teaching ecology and wilderness skills. She is looking forward to teaching and learning with you all! Exact location and details of what to bring will be emailed to you when you register. It's possible we'll use a public indoor space if weather doesn't play nice. Please feel free to email us with any questions!
